911 High Voltage uses modern Type GXL (special purpose cross-linked) XLPE automotive primary wire which is for use in engine compartments where higher heat resistance is required according to SAE J1128. GXL has a slightly thicker insulation than TXL and what that does for you is provides an added level of protection and longevity to your project.
